PRIVILEGE, ACCOUNTABILITY, AWARENESS, STEWARDSHIP

Pastor Juliette, for her doctoral thesis, created a training program for pastors, seminary students, and lay leaders to fight the culture of corruption in Madagascar and the church by creating “Awareness, Accountability, and Stewardship in the privilege of being a Christian leader”.

This dissertation project presents a leadership training manual which adopts a liberation and contextual theology to address the current problem of corruption. It introduces a bottom up method to train Christian leaders to enable people to speak for themselves. In doing so the FJKM can lead change using its polity, structure, and new teaching system. The training process uses a biblically-based pedagogy and Freire’s dialogue education, which offer positive transformation. This is witnessing Christian faith not only in Madagascar, but also across the world as leadership is universal. This training manual is helping to create changes and it should be shared as widely as possible.
